“I have just finished your book, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Hard to believe the way you lived was only 50yrs or so ago, we felt hard done by if we had to help with a few chores. What came through the whole book was the love your parents had for each other, and their children. Your grandma was another constant in your early years, and I felt your pain when you had to leave her. After the village life it must have seemed so scary, not understanding the language and everything bigger and noisier. Well done on your book.”
